Having originally studied Sports Science at her hometown university of Aberdeen, Kirsten moved to the US to pursue a Masters at Campbell University in North Carolina, enjoying success with the women’s team. She was a Conference Champion in 2004, while earning a well-deserved spot on the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team. She moved into a coaching role with Campbell as assistant women’s soccer coach, then switched to the University of Pittsburgh also in a coaching capacity. Staying in the US, Kirsten joined Loyola University in Chicago initially as a professor, then as Assistant Athletic Director for Academics and Student-Athlete Development.
